It involves sticking a big electrode into the water, and passing electric current through the water and thus through all the fish in the water. The get stunned and rise to the surface by the force of the electric pull. Here you scoop them up in a big net, take their biometrics, and them put them back in the water....where the USUALLY swim away unharmed. Still a little creepy to me though...
